Three years in the making, the new Chris Eaton album Dare to Dream (his 4th in 20 years) is truly the songwriter's labour of love. The hit songs he writes for others may come pouring out at a fast rate, but his own recordings are a much more considered affair.
The album was recorded at studios in the UK and Nashville. "When you love being in studios and making music like I do, and you're producing your own album, it's very easy to forget the vital ingredient- the song, and put the emphasis on the production. This time 'round it is song first and production second. Particularly with songs Breath of Heaven (original), Lay It Down, and Alright. I wanted to capture the moment they were inspired and created... Nothing going on but the song".
