November 2, 2007 Dear Media, Enclosed you will find David Klinkenberg’s new project Legacy…Hymns of Our Heritage. Released exclusively at Family Christian Stores September 18, 2007, Klinkenberg’s new album displays unique arrangements of classic hymns - all delivered with his unique violin styling. The classic hymns included on the compilation are tinged with gospel, bluegrass, jazz, pop and old world. From the ethereal strains of “Holy, Holy, Holy,” to the Celtic-influenced cadence of “Be Thou My Vision,” Klinkenberg takes the familiar melodies and makes them “new.” From his reverential treatment of the beloved “Ave Maria,” to his “bluegrassy” version of “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God,” to his richly textured yet gently nuanced performance of the world’s most famous hymn, “Amazing Grace,” David Klinkenberg’s artistry continuously points you past the performer and toward the Creator. Klinkenberg has been developing his artistry as a violin player since the age of four. As his talent developed, he began playing churches and local concert halls leading to his current performances with famed adult contemporary artist Jim Brickman and opening for Mark Schultz. You may remember David’s premiere Family Christian Stores exclusive, The Carol of Emmanuel Christmas project last year, which has sold over 150,000 units to date and will be released this year as well.
