Top Sail Productions, LLC is based in Indian Wells, CA and serves as both a production company and record label with U.S. Distribution through WEA, a Warner Music Group company. President/CEO Chuck Gullo, and partner, Michelle Meena, Vice-President, are the two principals of Top Sail Productions.
Gullo is a 35-year veteran of the music industry. He spent 14 years at A&M Records, where he was instrumental in furthering the careers of Janet Jackson, The Police, Amy Grant and Bryan Adams, just to name a few. For eight years, he served as president of All American Music Group/Scotti Bros. Records, where he guided the careers of several gold and platinum artists including "Weird" Al Yankovic. Under Gullo's leadership, Yankovic reached double platinum, the highest success in his nearly 20-year career.
Meena last served as product manager at All American Music Group/Scotti Bros. Records, where she helped to develop marketing strategies for all of the artists. She also oversaw the daily operation of the label's recording studios, and produced two various artist compilations as well as two half-hour specials featuring the label's artists. Meena has also worked in music management and created, produced and hosted her own radio show in Los Angeles.
Since its inception in 1999, Top Sail Productions joined forces with legendary radio personality, Casey Kasem, to release a series of hit-driven compilation CDs titled Casey Kasem Presents America's Top Ten Hits. Each CD contains 20 top ten hits of each decade of the pop/rock era: the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Many of the songs included on the CDs were first heard on Casey's countdown shows, which continue to air nationally. For more than thirty years, Casey has been known as "King of the Countdowns", and his inimitable style keeps him at the top of his profession. The CD series has been extremely successful, with sales of over 2,000,000 units. Top Sail Productions is proud to have worked with Leeza Gibbons on the release of Leeza Gibbons presents Reflections, a CD created to raise funds and heighten awareness for her non-profit organization, The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation. Top Sail Productions is donating 100% of its profits from the sale of Reflections directly to The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation and the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Reflections contains 15 incredible songs by 15 amazing artists. It is an enhanced CD that includes video highlighting Leeza's story and Leeza's Place, a photo gallery, personal message from Leeza and more. Leeza formed The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation to fulfill a promise she made to her mother, who is in the final stages of Alzheimer's disease. Her foundation is dedicated to assisting and enriching the lives of those who are touched by Alzheimer's disease and other memory disorders, while working towards a cure. Top Sail Productions’ first new artist signing, Ottawa-based rock band, Circuit, was introduced to the staff at Top Sail by legendary radio personality, Casey Kasem. Circuit’s live shows are not to be missed, and the band has performed with Candlebox, Finger Eleven, Kansas, Buckcherry, Everclear and Vince Neil, to name a few. They’ve wowed audiences across the country, entertaining crowds for the Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Memphis Redbirds, the IRL, the NHL, Six Flags and more. Three of their tracks have been included in the MTV shows The Real World Denver and Road Rules. Circuit was also voted Best Canadian Band for two years in a row (2006 & 2007) on Z98 in Sioux City, IA. Circuit's debut release, “Eau De Humanity” is available now.
